Italy faces airport and airline strikes on 26 July

Strike action could lead to delays or flight cancellations.Air travellers in Italy face disruption to flights on Saturday 26 July due to strike action by airport ground staff including baggage handlers and security workers.The four-hour strike, scheduled from 13.00 to 17.00, is expected to result in flight delays and cancellations. The industrial action has been called by several trade unions for various reasons relating to employment contracts and working conditions. Seperately, pilots and cabin crews from Spanish budget airline Volotea are also set to strike at the same time on Saturday, from 13.00 to 17.00. Italy's civil aviation authority ENAC has published information on its website about strikes and flights that are guaranteed.
