Michael Bublé to headline Vatican's Concert with the Poor

Pope Leo XIV to become first pontiff to attend concert which also marks a first for Michael Bublé.The Vatican's Paul VI Hall will be illuminated by the voice of Canadian crooner Michael Bublé as he performs as a special guest at the sixth edition of the Concert with the Poor on Saturday 6 December.The annual event - initiated by Pope Francis - blends music, fraternity and solidarity, welcoming 8,000 attendees, including 3,000 people in need who will be seated as guests of honour. This concert marks Bublé's first-ever performance at the Vatican, an occasion he described as "one of the greatest moments of my life", following an audience with Pope Leo XIV on Friday. Leo, who is set to become the first pontiff to attend the concert, specifically requested Bublé to perform Schubert's Ave Maria in Latin. The special musical journey will also include signature songs, Christmas classics like It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas and Silent Night. Bublé will be accompanied by the Nova Opera Orchestra and the 200-member Choir of the Diocese of Rome, conducted by Monsignor Marco Frisina.
