Rome to stage free concert on New Year's Eve at Circus Maximus

Rome to ring in 2026 with free concert at the Circus Maximus.Rome will ring in the New Year with a free concert at the Circus Maximus featuring singer Alessandra Amoroso, rapper Fabri Fibra and hip-hop artist Tananai, the city announced on Monday.The concert will kick off at 21.00 on 31 December, with radio station Dimensione Suono Roma keeping the party going into the wee hours with a dj set by JJ Carrozzo and a special show by Don Cash. Hailing the free Capodanno concert as a "tradition beloved of Romans", the city's mayor Roberto Gualtieri said: "We're confident it will be a great success, and I invite everyone to participate." Rome New Year's Day Parade 2026 Tourism councillor Alessandro Onorato noted that the artists in the line-up "normally fill stadiums and arenas for a fee, so this is an opportunity to give everyone the opportunity to experience a great moment of togetherness for free." Rome subways will stay open until on New Year's Eve, until 02.30, with night buses circulating from 02.30 until 08.00 on 1 January 2026, New Year's Day.
