A seed is not just a starting point: it is a true biological project, capable of containing within itself all the potential power of plant life.

We are pleased to invite you to the lesson “The Seed as a Biological Project: Sowing and Germination Techniques”, which will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Hortus Urbis.

During the three-hour session we will explore:

  • how a seed works from a biological perspective
  • proper sowing techniques

The lesson will include an initial theoretical part, followed by a hands-on workshop, where participants will have the opportunity to practice the techniques presented.

The session will be led by Alessandro Palenca, an experienced nurseryman and a friend of Hortus Urbis.
