Saturday, April 11th, we are pleased to invite you to outdoor Spring activities of the Hortus Urbis, the garden in the Appia Antica Park with solely ancient Roman plants.
At 15.00 – “NIDUS LAETUS ALL’HORTUS URBIS” – Wooden Birdhouse Workshop (Ages 4 to 10) | Workshop for kids and parents by Hortus Urbis e Fauna Urbis.
Discover the world of little birds: who they are, what they eat, and where they love to live.
Then, build a wooden birdhouse together with your mom or dad.
Take it home… or leave the nest at Hortus Urbis and come back to see who moves in!

, by 12.00 am Friday April 10th. In the email please indicate name of the child and the adults that will accompany with a telephone number. Your reservation is valid after you’ve received an email with the payment instructions. The workshop costs €10 per child. If you would like to take your birdhouse home, an additional contribution of €15 will be required on site.Picnic area on site

HOW TO REACH US
Hortus Urbis at the former paper mill “Cartiera Latina”, via Appia Antica, 42 /50 (near the fountain)
Bike: Cristoforo Colombo bike route and Circonvallazione Ardeatina.
Bus: 118 or 218 on the Appia Antica (Domine Quo Vadis stop); 30express, 714 and 715 on the via Cristoforo Colombo (Cristoforo Colombo/Bavastro stop or Cristoforo Colombo/Circonvallazione Ostiense stop) and then short walk along the Circonvallazione Ardeatina in the Scott Park.
Car: On Sundays parking at via Carlo Conti Rossini, Largo Gavaligi, via Omboni, via Scott and surroundings and then short walk along the Circonvallazione Ardeatina in the Scott Park. On every other day parking at via Appia Antica 50.
