Italian rock legend Vasco Rossi to play 10-night residency in Rome in 2027

Italy's foremost rock icon will mark half a century in music with an unprecedented stadium residency in Rome next year.Italian rock legend Vasco Rossi has announced a 10-date residency at Rome's Stadio Olimpico in June 2027 to mark 50 years since the start of his career - an event being billed as the longest stadium residency ever staged in Italy. The concert dates are 6, 7, 10, 11, 15, 16, 19, 20, 24 and 25 June 2027. The run has been dubbed the "Giubileo di Vasco" - the Jubilee of Vasco - and is described as the grand culmination of a national celebration that Rome will dedicate to the singer-songwriter from spring 2027. The decision to spread the event across multiple nights was a deliberate artistic and logistical choice. Rossi, 74, said his aim was to transform the anniversary into something widely shared and accessible rather than a single occasion capable of concentrating hundreds of thousands of people into one day, with the residency format intended to allow audiences to experience the concerts with greater ease, safety and quality. Tickets Tickets will go on sale from Monday 6 July for members of Il Blasco Fan Club, from Wednesday 8 July for Mastercard holders, and from Friday 10 July for general sale. The announcement was made in Bari, during the first of two dates at the Stadio San Nicola, as part of a tour that had already taken in Rimini, Ferrara and Olbia to widespread enthusiasm. The Olimpico residency will form the closing chapter of what has been framed as a year-long national celebration of one of Italy's most enduring musical figures. Hugely popular in Italy, Rossi has released over 40 albums and written more than 250 songs including numerous hits such as Senza Parole, Un Senso and Siamo Soli.
