Closure of the Colosseum Archaeological Park extended until 24 September 2026

Pending further notice from the Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli, the Colosseum Archaeological Park is extending the closure of its sites to the public until tomorrow, Thursday 24 September 2026, as a mark of mourning and solidarity with the family of Andrea Moretti and all PArCo staff.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

The closure applies to all admissions scheduled for 24 September 2026.

Refunds will be processed automatically. It is therefore not necessary to submit individual refund requests or further correspondence regarding the bookings concerned.
We kindly ask you to wait until the relevant procedures have been completed, and to refrain from sending multiple requests, which could slow down the administrative processes currently underway.

This closure is an exceptional measure adopted by the Ministry of Culture and, as such, it is not possible to grant access, reinstate visits scheduled for 23 and 24 September 2026, or make individual exceptions to the measure.
