Rome master chef creates a stir with lasagna toothpaste

Four years later he is head chef at the 1978 restaurant in the Trieste quarter of Rome and is once again making headlines. Braschi says he was inspired by childhood memories of growing up in Santarcangelo di Romagna, near Rimini in northern Italy. "The morning after the holidays, as soon as we woke up, we used to brush our teeth with a nice forkful of lasagna left over in the fridge from the day before."
