Vatican to host free concert and drone show in St Peter's Square
Grace for the World concert to be streamed live on Disney+, Hulu and ABC News on Saturday.The Vatican is to host a free concert in St Peter's Square this weekend with American singer Pharrell Williams and Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli co-directing a night of gospel, soul, pop and classical music.The musically diverse line-up includes Pharrell Williams with the Voices of Fire Gospel Choir, Andrea Bocelli, Karol G, John Legend, Clipse, Teddy Swims, Jelly Roll, Jennifer Hudson, BamBam, Angélique Kidjo, and the Choir of the Diocese of Rome.
Titled Grace for the World, the concert will take place at 21.00 on Saturday 13 September, and will be streamed live on Disney+, Hulu and ABC News (in the US at 15.00 ET / 12.00 PT).
"This is a rare cultural moment where the world stops and collectively tunes in" - Pharrell Williams said in a statement - "It is a message of unity and grace for all of humanity".

"Let us shine a spotlight on humanity with music from the very heart of Christianity and the most important spiritual square" - Bocelli stated - "reaching the entire world with a single message of brotherhood and peace."
The concert will also include an aerial and light show, with more than 3,000 drones, reportedly inspired by Michelangelo's artwork in the Sistine Chapel.
The drone show will be conducted by Nova Sky Stories, owned by Elon Musk's brother Kimbal Musk, who is an executive producer of the event in St Peter's Square.
The concert is being held in celebration of the Vatican's Jubilee Year and closes the third World Meeting on Human Fraternity, a conference held by the Fratelli Tutti Foundation.
A replay of the concert will be available on Disney+ after the event.
There is free admission to the concert and drone show but registration is required. For more details see Disney+ website.
