Saturday, October 25th, we are pleased to invite you to the outdoor activities of the Hortus Urbis, the garden in the Appia Antica Park with solely ancient Roman plants.
At 15.00 pm – “PICCOLI BOTANICI ALLA SCOPERTA DEGLI AMICI ALBERI” | Little gardeners, by Francesca Carocci
Join us for a walk in the most beautiful park in Rome! We will discover the names and secrets of the trees we will encounter. Each girl and boy will create their own “botanist’s diary” to collect and attach the leaves found during their adventures in the woods and parks. Let’s have fun together becoming little explorers of nature!
- From 5 years old and up
- Length: about 2 hours

HOW TO REACH US
Hortus Urbis at the former paper mill “ Cartiera Latina”, via Appia Antica, 42 /50 (near the fountain)
- Bike: Cristoforo Colombo bike route and Circonvallazione Ardeatina.
- Bus: 118 or 218 on the Appia Antica (Domine Quo Vadis stop); 30express, 714 and 715 on the via Cristoforo Colombo (Cristoforo Colombo/Bavastro stop or Cristoforo Colombo/Circonvallazione Ostiense stop) and then short walk along the Circonvallazione Ardeatina in the Scott Park.
- Car: On Sundays parking at via Carlo Conti Rossini, Largo Gavaligi, via Omboni, via Scott and surroundings and then short walk along the Circonvallazione Ardeatina in the Scott Park. On every other day parking at via Appia Antica 50.
