The bond between the two cities, signed under the motto "Only Paris is worthy of Rome; only Rome is worthy of Paris", will be renewed this week in the French and Italian capitals by Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo and Rome mayor, Anne Hidalgo and Roberto Gualtieri respectively. In a statement, Rome city hall said the cultural programme is aimed at "enhancing the artistic, historical and creative heritage of the two capitals", demonstrating "the shared journey that has allowed the two cities to build a solid bridge of culture, art and beauty over time.
