Via dei Fori Imperiali
The wide artery connecting
Piazza Venezia with
Colosseo,
was built up in 1931-33 by the Fascist regime and
was named "Via dell'Impero". The worked comprised the destruction
of the thick urban medieval and reinassance paving that once joined
the lean of
Quirinale to
Campidoglio and the separation of
Foro Romano from
Fori Imperiali.
