The Assisi Espresso: Christmas Markets Edition is "the most comfortable and charming way to experience the magic of the holidays", organisers say, with stops in Terni, Spoleto, Foligno, Spello, Assisi, Perugia and finally Arezzo. Travellers can look forward to a festive atmosphere on board the train, with decorations and Christmas music, as well as "a small gift" for each passenger. Visiting Arezzo, where life is beautiful Passengers who opt for Assisi can also enjoy Christmas markets as well as the spiritual atmosphere evoked by the light projections that transform the Umbrian pilgrimage town into an open-air nativity scene. The journey from Rome to Arezzo takes less than four hours, departing Roma Termini at 08.30 with an arrival time in Assisi at 11.00 and Arezzo at 12.10.
